WOMBO Dream? Interesting Concept, Interesting Execution.

Okay so, there’s a new app out on the market right out of Vancouver, BC. It uses AI algorithms and machine learning to randomly generate artwork based on a text prompt that you type in, combined with a baseline image/art style. I gave it a few tries, and let me say, it’s impressive. I’m doing a little bit of research on my own to determine whether or not all of the contents of the generated artwork are truly original, and if the artwork itself is truly original, but from what I’ve seen, it generates some great abstract art. As a photographer myself, I would hate to find out that it’s only using other people’s work, but that’s to be found out. I’ll throw a few examples of things I’ve had it do so far, let me say, they look good. I’m just being hopeful it’s not stealing other people’s work.
